Atelier Shazak

Artisan saddlery specialising in entirely hand-made custom pieces, from design through to production (cutting, saddle-stitching by hand, finishing, etc.) produced in the designer's workshop store located in her home town of Saint-Cloud in the Hauts-de-Seine region of France.

Having ridden horses since a very young age, the workshop founder Sofia Haccoun-Zakabloukowa trained as an upholsterer with the prestigious Compagnons du Devoir et du Tour de France before turning to saddlery and harness-making.

Having owned horses with unusual body shapes for years, and struggled to find what she was looking for on the standard market, she decided to specialise in ergonomic fitting. Where necessary, she works alongside an osteopath for her equestrian tack, ensuring the best possible comfort. Combining this with her saddlery work means she can offer a whole range of different pieces: harnesses for horses and dogs, belts, bags, cases, furniture, upholstery for cars and motorcycles, medical, etc.
