What is La Sellerie Française?
La Sellerie Française is a marketplace bringing together the finest French artisan saddlers and equestrian leather workers: around 128 independent workshops offering exceptional pieces, often unique or made to measure, handcrafted in France.
Are your products really made in France?
Yes. Every product is made by an independent French artisan, in their own workshop, from full-grain leathers sourced from the best French and European tanneries.
How long does a made-to-measure piece take?
Most of our products are made to order. A manufacturing time is stated on each product page and precedes shipping. It typically ranges from a few days to several weeks depending on the artisan and the piece.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide from France via La Poste / Colissimo, with tracking. For deliveries outside the European Union, any import duties and taxes are payable by the recipient.
Can I return a made-to-measure product?
Made-to-measure and personalised pieces are not subject to the right of withdrawal (French consumer law, article L221-28) and cannot be returned, except for a manufacturing defect. Standard, non-personalised products can be returned within 14 days.
How do I care for the leather?
Clean regularly with glycerine soap, then nourish the leather with a suitable product (oil or balm). Avoid prolonged exposure to water and sun. Well-kept leather develops a beautiful patina and lasts for generations.
Is payment secure?
Yes. Payments are securely processed by Stripe. We never store your card details.
