Sturdy as well as graceful, this presentation halter pays homage to the Comtois draught horse.
This is the leading item from the "La Comtoise" equestrian collection.
Originally made for Comtois draught horses in white leather with a twisted connector and natural plaited raffia inserted into the cheek straps and wide noseband, it is steeped in the tradition of Comtois horses yet with a unique, innovative look.Entirely hand-made using traditional techniques (no machines). Adjustment: chin strap with 3 holes and throatlasch with 5 holes. Strengthened with double-thickness leather (8-10 mm), it can also have optional slim polypropylene webbing lining (including the buckle strap ends and holes) as shown in the photo.
Just like the Comtois draught horse, this item is gentle as well as strong due to the comfortable leather lining on the cheek straps, wide leather noseband and neoprene foam core (for comfort and firmness).
This 30 mm wide white leather "Comtois draught horse" base model comes in a variety of options: for other breeds of horse (warmblood as well as coldblood), other sizes (horses, foals, ponies, donkeys), in other colours (choice of colours with matching threads), in 20 mm width (the 'grey' buckles will be different).
NB: Designed for presenting horses, this piece is only intended for occasional use (for appropriate use/durability in favourable conditions: it is not to be used as a stable halter or for transportation or turnout).
