The length of the saddle is to be measured from the ring of the hunting collar to the start of the cantle – where the jewel will begin – passing under the small quarter.
This measurement will transcribe the length of the jewelry. Take your tape measure and place it on either side of the location of the cantle with the padding, at the level of the leather bead.
